Channel Manager


Ensure win-win business model for successful, mutually-beneficial partnerships. Strive to leverage and integrate other strategic programs and initiatives. Provide on-going operational status and updates to management teams including success metrics. Drive strategy to define objectives and routes to increase partner and customer awareness.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrate ability to lead cross-functional teams and achieve success through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Program management experience.
  • Business development experience with strategic partners.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills.
  • Experience in enterprise software market.
  • MBA and/or 5-10 years of solid business experience that reveals a proven ability to quickly grasp new technologies and adapt a customer-centric approach while consulting and negotiating with key stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Recruit and acquire new channel partners.
  • Ensure partners are educated with our product, and motivated in the promotion and sale of said products.
  • Work with partners to identify solution offerings that combine our products with their core products/solutions.
  • Supply detailed product presentations/demos of our product for partners remotely and on-site.
  • Organize proactive lead-generation programs with partners.
  • Co-manage partner pipeline & forecast with Director of Sales/ Sales Manager.
  • Sustain sales opportunities & bids/proposals incoming from partner Channels.

Requirements:

  • BS (MBA preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Specific training/product knowledge of Connexall Software and Consulting.
  • Proven sales skills in Software & Solutions environment.
  • Ability to deliver revenue with & through indirect channels; channel management experience required.
  • Excellent communications skills (written/verbal)
  • Travel required.

Specific Activities:

  • Ensure executive visibility to all levels of account engagement, managing cross functional account update meetings and then logging bookings against target by tracking sales incentives and royalties.
  • Drive positive partner relationships through successful development and execution of a business planning process, quarterly executive review of partnership to include business and sell-with progress and attainment of quarterly sales revenue.
  • Must be able to net out important issues and deliver external and internal messages targeted at various audience types.  Needs to be willing to engage at all levels of the corporation in order to achieve results/meet commitments of Partner's business plan and achieve excellent Partner satisfaction.
  • Define and execute partner–specific revenue generation marketing programs.  Develop working relationships internally within Business Units and the various geographies as well as with Red Hat executives in order to further drive value for the assigned partnerships.  Success of the programs will be determined by metrics of the campaign/program measurements as defined and public evidence of customer and Partner success such as PR, blogs and media placements.
