University of Michigan Health System selects
Connexall for enterprise-wide integration at new facility

Industry’s leading integration platform chosen for its ability to distribute critical data, improve clinical communications and enhance the patient experience

Boulder, Colo. – September 13, 2011 – The University of Michigan Health System has selected Connexall USA as its system-wide integration platform to connect clinical alarm and alert data from medical devices to communications devices, wireless phones and pagers for its new 348-bed C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital. The goal of the solution is to improve workflow and data analytics, while reducing noise levels, strengthening care delivery and enhancing the patient experience.

“Moving from a facility where numerous beds were in a single room to a much larger facility where beds are now separated into multiple rooms, we anticipated needing a new system for nurses and clinicians to communicate,” said Loree Collett, associate hospital administrator and operational lead for the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital expansion project. “After reviewing several systems, we found Connexall was the only vendor-neutral technology that offers clinicians access to a broad array of critical alerts at the point of care.”
